Importing Messages into the Interoperability Receive Engine

Follow these steps to import messages into the Interoperability receive engine:

Configure the input destination where input messages will reside.
Using the AssetWise System Management Console, manually register the receive engine (eB.Engines.ReceiveEngine.dll) for the community
Note: By default, this is not enabled.
Configure the interoperability receive schedule by running the script described in the "Standard Interoperability Service" document.
Tip: By default, the schedule runs hourly, however, you can speed up testing by configuring the schedule to have a shorter polling period.
Use the messages produced by the output engine as template for the receive messages and simply change the appropriate details for import.

When the receive job completes, it creates a new queue job in the interoperability queue for each XML file in the receive destination and processes the message based on the XML received. If an error is encountered, the queue job is placed in an error state, describing the error. If the job processes successfully, the appropriate AssetWise action is visible by searching for the objects created or changed based on the message received.
